Rhythm is a filmmaker’s crucial tool for capturing our attention. Sound, the edit, and the frame create patterns that propel us through the film. Rhythm can focus our attention, create anticipation, and play with our expectations.

“Not only must things change, but the rate at which they change must also change.” – Kevin Volans, Composer*
