Rhythm is a filmmaker’s crucial tool for capturing our attention. Sound, the edit, and the frame create patterns that propel us through the film. Rhythm can focus our attention, create anticipation, and play with our expectations.

Gitta Wigro is a freelance dance film programmer and curator based in London, UK. Over the last 19 years, she has worked with a wide range of international screendance festivals, institutions and projects as a programmer, curator, juror, consultant and lecturer. Programmer for the Screendance Competition at Leeds International Film Festival and one of the co-directors of Kinesthesia Festival. She is leading a module on the Screendance MA at London Contemporary Dance School.
