In her most recent works, Linda Carrara's pictorial vision has moved towards a "vitalist" representation of reality. The material and the pictorial action have become the focal point of the work itself. In this sense, the images created do not coincide with the things they possibly describe but are more aimed at evoking the experience that collects the metaphysical energy of the event.
Linda Carrara (1984), lives and works in Milan and Brussels. Her recent solo exhibitions include Boccanera Gallery in Trento, Iragui Gallery in Moscow, Rizzuto Gallery in Palermo, Centrul des Interes in Cluj-Napoca. She has participated in group shows at MAC Museum in Lissone, Croxhapox in Gent, FABRIKA in Moscow, Boccanera Gallery in Trento, ICA Foundation in Milan, as well as at Rómer Flóris Múzeum in Győr, Hungary in 2019. She has been a resident artist at MOMENTUM in Berlin, LKV in Trondheim and NCCA in St Petersburg. In 2023, she was awarded the Casarini Prize by ArtVerona.
